Liz McCormick is the Director of Innovation Projects at GRCC and leader of The Keller Futures Center. The Keller Futures Center is a unique concept in community engagement and 21st Century learning. It is a living testament to West Michigan values of sustainability, design, and innovation and exists to extend that legacy for a whole new generation.
The Center offers experiential, project-based learning opportunities which expose participants (students, faculty, citizens, organizations) to a new way of thinking, learning, and collaborating together in order to identify the greatest opportunities for innovation on a given project statement.
Using the human-centered design process, they organize and mobilize project teams supporting them through the process of research, disovery, insight, ideas and solutions. Their model emphasizes discovery of unmet and emerging needs in our community providing the necessary fuel for innovation to occur.
